Student Worker (Part-Time) – Claims Handler, Zurich Insurance

This role offers an excellent introduction to the world of insurance! Here you´ll have the chance to become part of a global company, work closely with our Nordic countries and step into the world of insurance. The role is based at our Nordic headquarters in the heart of Stockholm.

Job Description

As a Student Claims Handler, you will be responsible for investigating, assessing and settling travel-related claims and personal injury claims under accident insurance. Your main tasks will involve processing claims and carrying out various investigations. Communicating by phone and email with injured parties, policyholders and third-party companies is a key part of the claims handling process.

The claims handling process includes receiving and registering claims, investigating them and paying out compensation. You will be responsible for all aspects of the claims from start to finish. You will work independently with your own cases, while at the same time being part of a team where knowledge sharing and collaboration are a natural part of everyday work. Working hours vary, and you may be scheduled for evening shifts on a regular basis.

You will be hired on an hourly basis, and the working schedule will be flexible. We expect that you are able to work at the office approximately 2-3 days per week. We can offer this position for a period of one year, with the possibility of an extension. 

Who we’re looking for 

• You have approximately two years left of your university studies, preferably within law or business administration.
• Verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English, equivalent to C2 level, are required.  
• You are Service minded communicative and flexible.
• You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to grow and learn together with your colleagues, while also being comfortable working independently.
• You possess strong attention to detail and a high level of responsibility.
